Danny Gold used to work at Cork & Bottle, Buttermilk. Right down the road from me. Imagine my surprise when I ran into him at Party Source last night! He’s now a wine manager there, and much happier it seems. Danny has always organized some neat wine dinners, usually on nights when Kevin and I are unavailable, but one day it will work out.

This time, it’s a 5-course wine dinner at Carraba’s over here at Crestview Hills Town Center in Northern Kentucky. Each course will be paired with a wine to "truly express the flavor and reach maximum palate pleasure." Here’s your menu:

1st Course: 2 crab cakes with roasted red bell pepper sauce.
2nd Course: Lightly breaded zucchini with garlic aioli sauce.
3rd Course: Spiedino Di Mare. Shrimp and Scallops grilled w/signature sauce
4th Course: Chicken Bryan (grilled chicken entree topped with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, and a basil lemon butter sauce)
5th Course: 2 Desserts – Vanilla ice cream with rum roasted pecans and topped with caramel, and Terra Masu (which I suspect might be tiramisu)

Before anyone with allergies, like me, panics, you can let Danny know ahead of time and he’ll make arrangements. I have to avoid anything with nuts. Now if you’re allergic to seafood, well, you might want to skip this one. Vegetarians can also be accommodated.

This particular dinner takes place on Monday, October 22, 6:30 pm. Cost is $60/pp. Cash is preferred but credit cards are accepted. Gratuity is not included.
