I plan on blogging all about the great Arizona wineries we visited on our trip. But I need to wait until we pop open a bottle of at least one. I also hope to review a Wolffer Estates Rose this week. Yep, it’s all about localized wine.
In the meantime, I wanted to share a creamy concoction I discovered. Actually, I believe JP (wine guy at Party Town) first mentioned it to me, as a discovery of his wife. Then the folks at the Liquor Cabinet mentioned it to me on Friday night.
Whoever came up with this was genius. Just put some ice in your glass, pour in some Amarula, and then add Root Beer. The result is delicious.
When I originally tried Amarula, I drank it on the rocks, while Kevin added it to a full root beer float. I say skip the ice cream. Amarula and root beer work just fine on their own.
By the way, Amarula is now available in the holiday gift set, which includes two highball glasses with elephants on them.
