Restaurant Week! March 3-9!

I’ve been in Texas and completely disconnected from all news. So here’s the big news that I almost forgot –

next week is Restaurant Week!  Yay!

March 3 through March 9 you can eat at most of the Greater Cincinnati Independent restaurants for $25.08 for a 3-course meal. Each restaurant will have a special menu for the event.

Restaurant Week, long a fixture in larger cities and more recently, Dayton Made its first Cincinnati appearance in September 2007. It’s the perfect time for it, with the
wonderful resurgence in great restaurants the city is experiencing.
What is restaurant week? Well, to start with, it’s a great idea.

From March 3-9, 2008, many independently owned restaurants
will each be offering a 3-course prix-fixe dinner menu for only $25.08
per person. The price does not
include drinks, taxes, or gratuities. For a little more than $25, you
can go enjoy a 3 course meal at some of the best restaurants in
Cincinnati.

This is your chance, folks, to go try a restaurant you might not
normally try, maybe in a neighborhood you might not normally be near.
Go out and try something new – it’s only $25!

Restaurants include Andy’s Mediterranean Grille, Behle Street Café, Bella Luna, Brown Dog Café, Chalk Food + Wine, China Gourmet, Daveed’s at 934, deSha’s American Tavern & Grille, Dilly Deli Wines and Gourmet, Greenup Café, Holy Grail Tavern & Grille, Hugo, Jag’s Steak & Seafood, Jimmy D’s Steakhouse, Kona Bistro, Mesh, Mike & Jimmy’s Chophouse Grille, Molly Malone’s Irish Pub, Nicholson’s, O’Bryon’s Irish Pub, Polo Grille, Pompilios, Primavista, The Pub at Crestview Hills, The Pub at Rookwood Mews, The Vineyard Café, Red, Tink’s Café, Universal Grille & Washington Platform.

Restaurant Week Planned for Greater Cincinnati

Check out over 25 of the area’s “local flavors” this March 3rd – 9th!

The Greater Cincinnati Independents invite residents and visitors to “Eat lots and Spend Little” at
the tri-state’s second annual Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week.

In the tradition of Restaurant Week in cities such as New York, San Francisco, and even Dayton
diners are given a unique opportunity to enjoy local dishes from all over Greater Cincinnati at a
very special price with participating GCI restaurants.

The Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week runs from Monday, March 3rd – Sunday, March 9th.
To date, 30 locally owned restaurants will offer a three-course prix-fixe dinner menu for only
$25.08! (Price does not include drinks, taxes or gratuities. Some restrictions may apply.)

"The way this promotion has taken off in cities across the country, proves that this can be quite
successful at getting people to try restaurants and explore neighborhoods they might not have
gone to otherwise," said GCI Vice President, Drew Hester. "We have a great list of participants
to start this off and we’re confident that list will continue to grow."
