Our friend Jay Erisman from the Party Source felt odd posting this since it's a bit commercial, so I'll just quote him here. It's good information, so it needs to be shared:
"The house sparkler at Twist, and all J-R's restaurants, is not Champagne, but it is good stuff. J-R has bottled for him, in a Pigall's label, a Cremant de Jura by the biodynamic producer Tissot. The grape for this wine is 100% Chardonnay, which is hardly the most common grape variety in the far eastern French Alpine region of Jura. We sell it at The Party Source for $20.99, and for each bottle sold a dollar goes to Seven Days for SIDS. We like this wine a lot, too, possibly the best $20 sparkler we sell.
For the Opera I highly recommend Jean-Robert's other newest restaurant, Lavomatic in Over-The-Rhine. It's a couple doors north of 12th and Vine, and is blessed with rooftop dining/drinking and an excellent if smallish wine list. At four blocks from Music Hall, and with plenty of parking, I can attest it is just the thing when you need to unwind from highbrow Cincinnati arts. My considerable CSO habit is only encouraged by the presence of Lavomatic. Major kool kudos to Jean-Robert de Cavel for having the presence of mind, and courage, to open this establishment."

I walked passed Twist Friday night on my way to checkout the floral carpet at Fountain Square. I didn't realize the windows push out, opening the space to the street. What an excellent feature for the summer! I would've stopped in, but was meeting friends at Head First and was dressed for a dark sports bar atmosphere.
