Just two quick notes on some upcoming events:

Taste of the World Wine & Beer Festival, benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
This is tomorrow night at the Newport Aquarium. Of course, I just found out it’s not just at the Aquarium, it’s spread out through the Aquarium. The primary sponsor is The Party Source, so you can count on a wide range of great wines and beers to complement foods from area restaurants. Kevin & I will be pouring wine or beer, so if you see us, say hello! 7:30-11 pm, $90 at the door, $80 in advance
New Year’s Eve Bubbles & Bites at Bouquet Thinking about New Year’s Eve yet? It’s that time. It looks like Kevin & I will be spending our evening in the company of Tim (CheapWineRatings) and his lovely wife at Bouquet in Covington. Chef/Owner Stephen Williams of Bouquet Restaurant and Danny Gold are hosting an event for lovers of good times, great wines and gourmet cuisine. With music in the background and Sparkling wines in our glass we will watch the ball drop while snacking on crab cakes, fine cheeses and other delectable bite size cuisine. It’s a low-key event – right up my alley after a busy year – and extremely affordable at $40/pp. It includes finger foods, red and white wine, and a selection of sparklers including cava, prosecco, and Champagne. There are about 10 seats left, so email Danny to reserve your spot.
