A wine friend says he heard a commercial that Remke will be selling out all non-grocery inventory from the stores that are remaining open. It was thought that would include the wine. Has anyone heard about this?

Update – Just been told Remke is moving forward with the wine tastings at bigg’s Skytop. Thanks for the overwhelming support. THERE IS NO LONGER A NEED TO E-MAIL OR WRITE THEM NOW, they have a lot going on and have to move quickly. Again, thanks for all support. –Michael Campbell

Update on bigg’s Skytop Wine Tasting – Remke Markets have not said they will discontinue Wine Tasting at Skytop. Your comments will however definitely help in their future decisions to continue this fine weekly event. I’ve talked with the Remke management team and they are very positive customer service oriented. Their goal is to continue to provide the excellent services offered at the bigg’s location on Beechmont Ave. that has made the store a favorite shopping destination. Remke’s is local owned with a focus on supporting local business and the community. With their 113 years grocery experience in local area I think their purchase of bigg’s from Supervalu will be very positive in continuing the fine service bigg’s has provided since 1984.
