Oops, Jay, you’re right. I said “downriver” in the last paragraph, but I said “upriver” at the beginning. Sorry ’bout that!

Now, as I understand it, there’s a pretty heated battle over whether Louisville is the northernmost part of the South or the southernmost part of the Midwest. It’s crystal clear that Lexington, an hour or so south of us, IS the South. Personally, I think what makes Louisville so special is that it’s the best of both worlds. But before I moved to Louisville, I spent 12 years in the Deep South (FL & LA), so I tend to default to “Midwest” to describe Louisville.

Anyone have any other thoughts?

PS I LOVE the Beer Store too… still haven’t hit 732 Social.

Isn’t Louisville the South (not Midwest) and isn’t it Louisville downriver from Cincy, not up?

That being said, I love Louisville! 732 Social and Louisville Beer Store are two of my favorites!
