Wine as an Alternative Investment

I get so many press releases that I can’t keep up. Lately, I don’t have time to read them all, so I tend to ignore them when they don’t stand out. This one stood out for a reason. The good folks over at GourmetGiftBaskets.com have put together a rather entertaining infographic on alternative ways to invest your money, with coverage on wine, comic books, and movie posters. Since I’m limited on space, I grabbed only the wine section, but I encourage you to go take a look at the entire graphic. I found the movie poster section especially interesting.

I love the part of this graphic describing the most expensive wines ever sold. I mean, you certainly wouldn’t want to have been the waiter at the Four Seasons who broke the 1787 Chateau Margaux. Oops.
