Here are a couple of good value white wines worth trying. Both are under $15.
Bogle Chardonnay 2009
This oaky Chardonnay from California smells wonderful – very fruity with a distinct green apple aroma. The taste is a combination of apples, pineapples and pears, with a hint of lemon. Refreshing and creamy, and not a dry white wine. I will definitely keep a couple bottles of this on hand at home.
Food and Wine recently named this one of the world’s best Chardonnay Values. It is also a Wine Enthusiast Best Buy.
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough 2010
This light to medium bodied Sauvignon Blanc is from the famous Marlborough region in New Zealand. It is a fragrant wine with strong tropical fruit and grassy aromas. The taste was crisp and citrusy with flavors of pineapple and melon. Not oaky at all.
