I haven’t tried the new and improved boxed wines. It’s a much more economical choice if you’re entertaining alot of people, but I’ve honestly never thought to scout out some good options. Well, now I will, thanks to this article in Women’s Health magazine. Yes, Women’s HEALTH. Hey, makes me feel better that a healthy living mag is writing about wine.
I especially love the Pinot Evil Pinot Noir- the name and the graphics on the box.
Check it out and let me know – have you had any of these (or other) boxed wines? What do you think? Any good ones out there?

Black Box, Hardy’s, and Out Of The Box (largest box I know of at 5L), I feel are worth mentioning. I have heard Bandit is decent, but have not had it yet.
In the summer months, having a box of Out OF The Box pinot grigio in the fridge ready for drinking at any time is kind of nice. When more than a few people are over, and it’s super casual, it’s nice to have Black Box Cab on hand. They actually stays tasting just fine for a few weeks!
Let’s be real, though, these are not for all year round and all of the time.
Ralph at Winedog just wrote a blog about this same topic, so it must be in the air – (at http://www.winedog.com/winedog-blog/entry/great-box-wines)
Have you ever tried the Spanish wineintube wines? A little different packaging, but a great value.
