I’m a freelance writer, instructional designer/trainer, and social media trainer/consultant. I’ve been running my ever-evolving business, Write Technology, since 2003. Since I work out of my home (and occasional coffee shops), I get to spend a lot of time in my pajamas. My dream is to trade it all in and write about wine and/or technology, but that doesn’t exactly come easy. Maybe I’ll get lucky and one day stumble upon the perfect job combining the two. In the meantime, I write this blog.

I’m not a real sommelier or a wine expert. I’m a consumer – just like you. I firmly believe that you should drink what you like, no matter what anyone else says. I also think that numerical wine rating scales (particularly 100 point scales) are useless. How do you relate to a number? I’ve always rated wines by how happy they make me, thus the Happy Face Wine Scale was born.

In case you insist that I have credentials, I passed the level 1 Sommelier exam in August 2011 and am studying for the Certified Specialist of Wine certification.

Kevin chimes in occasionally with wine and beer events. An equal opportunity drinker, Kevin is very knowledgeable on beer and whiskey, as well as wine. 

His real-world job in interactive marketing keeps him pretty busy, but look for a post from him every now and again. He gets special attention, as he was instrumental in helping me found and run this blog since the very beginning.  His younger brother, Steven, may also chime in occasionally with a more millennial perspective.

Angela is an amateur wine connoisseur that grew up in the restaurant/wine business, her parents and her grandparents were both restaurant owners and her great uncle was a Sommelier. She was a mixologist for over 13 years and  writes a small wine blog http://alaible.blogspot.com/.

When not writing about wine, Angela is a social media/web project manager consultant. Her background consists of graphic design, web development, web project management, communications, copy writing, PR, SEO, and social media. In her spare time, she paints, sculpts, and cooks.

Cresta enjoys drinking… she’s not ashamed to admit it. Like the rest of us, she isn’t a wine or beer expert by any means, but she does keep an open mind when it comes to taste. She has recently become more adventurous when trying new things and has found herself spending more time perusing the aisles while in the liquor store.

She is a PR professional by day and loves to write. Cresta also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes. She dabbles in photography and likes spending time in the great outdoors. She has been married for nine years and has two young children that keep her  and her husband busy and always on their toes. Never a dull moment in the Lewis home!
