I am a technical writer and instructional designer/trainer by trade. I run my own business out of my home, which means I get to spend a lot of time in my pajamas. My dream is to trade it all in and write about wine, but that doesn't exactly come easy. Maybe I'll get lucky and one day stumble upon the perfect job combining wine and technology. In the meantime, I write the My Wine Education blog.
Kevin and I have been married since August of 2003, when we said our wedding vows in Spanish on a Dominican Republic beach. We don't know Spanish, so maybe we own a cow.
Kevin is a computer programmer - mostly Java - but has been currently learning a lot about the intersection between Web 2.0 marketing and programming. He's also the Beer & Spirits guy here at the blog, although he enjoys his share of wine.
Together, we try to keep this blog updated and interesting. We noticed there was very little information on the countless wine tastings that regularly occur in the Cincinnati area. Cincinnati is also experiencing a little renaissance in dining, with a slew of one-word restaurants popping up all over the place (Mesh, Nectar, Honey, Nada, Chalk, etc) and the Midwest Culinary Institute thriving in Clifton. With fine dining comes fine wine and wine events. We've made it our goal to track them all. Of course, we know we're missing things, so please email us and we'll add it to our weekly listing.
While the wine shipping laws may be convoluted in our neck of the woods, which includes both Kentucky and Ohio, the eating and drinking are good. We invite you to join us as we discover more about wine and more about the wine opportunities right here in our hometown.
